Richard Wright
Richard Wright est né en 1908 à Natchez. Son premier roman, Un enfant du pays (1940), lui confère une renommée immédiate qui fait de lui le premier grand romancier noir américain. À partir de 1946, il vit à Paris où il est accueilli par Jean-Paul Sartre et le groupe des Temps modernes. Il est mort en 1960.
